Zoom is the standard tool I've seen therapists use. I wonder if they use a hippa compliant vl variant.

+1 for Mentour, being a commercial pilot himself his insights are fantastic.

I don't follow the logic here. So you are assuming that Koreans are already celebrating something that hasn't been peer-reviewed as a great "Korean" achievement that is getting international recognition?

I was an active member when GameSpot merged then took over (my account missed the LUE cutoff by less than a year, if you know you know). It was something the owner promised would never happen, and then he repeatedly said it would never go f

There's no perfect way to compare. The hourly job was a contract so no PTO, holidays, benefits, ect but also zero overtime. The way I laid it out valued the offer at a $165k equivalent salary at the job I was leaving.

The biggest raise I ever got was by accident. I was making $105k and knew I was underpaid but no raise was coming so I started looking around. I told a recruiter I was looking for "upwards of 120" and got the response "that&#

What a strange story. The worlds most successful art thief did it not for profit or prestige, but apparent mental illness (compulsion). He was only caught because he was spotted, escaped but returned 2 days later to finish the job. He got 3

This is a very naive take on that duty. Executives have enormous leeway in deciding what is best for their shareholders. The idea that they are bound to every lousy "makes a penny today damn the consequences" decision put in front

Culture has changed a lot since we were kids. Online communication is integral, disturbingly so since covid. They'll still hang out, but less than we did and they'll miss a lot since everyone except them was part of the online com

I totally understand looking for graduates that know SQL for certain positions, but it is a specialty not taught in any core class. You can absolutely know CS and entire areas of programming without it. I used SQL all the time in web dev bu

Databases, network programming and concurrency (beyond basic constructs like mutexes) are not fundamental. SQL is certainly not fundamental to the major, that's a specialty only needed by a small percent of programmers. I would suggest

I made the mistake of doing this once and never again. I ended up deferring almost $20k into stock that never became worth anything. The company went under and I was so low on the list of people getting paid that I got literally $0.

The company I work for only said our next payroll is safe. The rest of the statement was wordy without saying much which is a pretty big red flag to me. Here's hoping we didn't lose the entire extension round we just raised.

I'm not particularly art savvy but I live in a major city and like museums. I have definitely seen modern pieces that I like and are actually though provoking so I'm not trying to say that all modern art is crap (although some of

These are great platitudes, and as a fellow human I like the idea that only we can create "real" art, but I don't know how to justify that idea. I have no chip on my shoulder about art, it's not part of my identity at al

FWIW I don't mind being asked questions. As I have grown I've tended towards being a technical specialist over a manager and part of that is being a resource. I'm also very good with Git, GDB and Linux so I end up as the go-t

I really wonder how this is going to play out in the auto industry. Adobe can get away away with a lot because a number of their products, namely Photoshop, has no real competition. I would rather have Photoshop from 2005 than today's
