My experience is identical. I think this kind of app could be really helpful but inputs need to be automated for this to be feasible. Maybe using some IoT devices (baby cradle sleep monitor, diaper box sensor, etc.).

Key word here is retention. The author was in a pretty good position to be in, where the paid users were happy enough not to churn and move to the competition. Once you're there - you have product market fit, and you should presumably

Absolutely. This is very common in consumer products where the burden of moving over to the competition is minimal (think food delivery, ridesharing, home maintenance etc.). Additional symptoms are relatively low retention or no retention a

I was looking for something that will send me daily email report with the rates of the cryptocurrencies I'm interested in. Seems trivial but couldn't find anything simple that just works. So - I just built it on my own. Would love

Was a bit more difficult but that was a step in the right direction. Thanks! https://gitlab.com/inverted3/drum-machine/commit/79c0eba42ec...

I figured it out - I hope. Your suggestion was a major part of the solution - Chrome works great with just setting osc.gain.value = 1 But for this to work on Safari & FF it needs to be set like this: oscVol.gain.setValueAtTim

Among many other shortcomings :) For starters, I'll be fixing the knob touch issue.

Thanks for the kind words :) The hardest part by far was making the timing rock solid - it involves syncing between the browser rendering engine and the audio context timer. My solution was based on pointers from this comprehensive post:

You're right, this is the standard way to manipulate knobs. I'll be fixing this. Thanks!

Thank you very much :) I honestly think Vue, it's docs, style guide and examples make it really easy to build relatively complex stuff while keeping it very readable.

It should control the terminal pitch of the note. E.g. initial pitch = 440hz. Env = 1 -> terminal pitch 440hz Env = 0.5 -> terminal pitch 220hz See here: https://gitlab.com/inverted3/drum-machine/b

I'm ashamed to admit I didn't even test this on anything other than the devices and browsers I had open at the moment (Chrome on Mac and on Android). I'll check what's the deal with FF - should probably be easy to fix. T

Nicely done. Not to give anyone any ideas, but the 'gravity'/'attract' mode could be used for some very dark UI patterns.
