Actually...I doubt that. At least in US, for the company I worked for, I don't think there is an option for me to be paid in cash in the first place. Even in reality people use check though, that still requires a bank account.

Well, Brazil had to sell those soybeans somewhere. Their economy is half bankrupt already anyway. If not China, where are going to send all the natural resources to, with its current price? Presumably not US, who is also desperate trying to

I am curious about what exactly do you think culture revolution had broken. Looking at other ethnic Chinese dominant areas, Hong Kong/Taiwan, which are supposedly unaffected by cultural revolution, I don't think the mainlanders ar

Not to mention that the API is very intuitive and programmer friendly. For me, using Mobx doesn't force me to write things its own way, but instead enables me to write things MY way, but just hook it up with Mobx when needed. It is a m

Exactly. I think MS is a doing a gesture job to showcase their code, but they are not open sourcing the roadmap to the community, which is fine by me actually.

Who would know it is deployed on another countries' citizens? If anything it is the Saudi who chose to use it, why shift the blame to the original developer? Hope you understand the point now.

Guns, cars and knives can kill people too. Also drugs and alcohol, how about banning people working on those stuff?

Well. Technology is technology, how would the developer predict how their code is being used? Also the developer owns NO rights of their written code, the right to license it to the Saudis here is from Israel government.

There is also a big distinction as regards to which tax goes to central government which goes to local(provincial) government. I believe the land sales mainly goes to the latter, while VAT is split between those two.

China is an interesting case. Where they are not enforcing it in a strict sense, but at the same time they are not completely leaving the regulation on the book. So the end result is a system that selectively enforcing its own regulations.

I don't think I can directly answer your questions, but few facts: 1. Chinese enterprises have really high taxes. 2. China has VAT, which is 16%, quite significant. 3. Chinese consumption tax directly factored into the end product pric

I am quite on fence about this topic. I think the best way for Amazon to do is to make contributions to the OSS organizations that helps them making so much money, if they choose not to give their source code back to the community.

Amazon isn't good at open sourcing stuff, I am 100% with you. But there is more to this as well. AWS is a huge ecosystem by itself, a lot their services intertwined with each other, simply open source DynamoDB isn't enough without
