Having debug symbols enabled should be the default in my opinion. Especially in a partially self-compiled distribution like NixOS. The threshold to submitting bugs should be low. Unf I'm seeing a unicorn (GitHub fail whale) currently,

I wrote a small test function. It appears that Scala.js has no default protections against null values from the browser DOM. def printNodes(targetNode: dom.Node): Unit = { var c = targetNode.firstChild while (c != null)

One of the main points of the blog is that Scala.js integrates well with the JavaScript apis and those apis are full of null. A typical loop in the DOM looks like this: var node = element.firstChild; while (node) { /&

The code examples use ==, which does lossy comparison. Using === is much safer. The tools section mentions JSLint which flags any use of == as an error. JavaScript is such a quirky language that I always want the code to pass JSLint and Clo

Unlike Attic, Bup, and Borg, Obnam does not use rolling checksums. Rolling checksums are a brilliant way to do efficient deduplication. The bup DESIGN document explains how rolling checksums can be used. https://github.com/b
