Yes, a friend of mine mentionned the google feature. I never noticed it. But as I say, we need something that everyone can implement right now and that makes mass surveillance cost too expensive to be realistic. Log history and 2 steps logi

Well, in the context of a specific targeting, certainly. I have no problem with that. What is a problem is mass surveillance. A simple measure like that could make it very costly to achieve mass operations. EDIT : also, please note that the

We really need to systematically implement in our login systems what many ssh access does when you login : "Hello <username>. Your last login was at <time> from <ip>". It won't solve the problem, but it'

A load of nice tricks, thanks. I'm a bit concerned about the public keys public url. Ok, it's just public keys, so it must be safe, but I wonder : is it safe like it's "safe" publishing a login without a password ?

Thanks you all, this has been very instructive. I realize I had a massive misinterpretation about left and right in the US. That's because, in France, left wing has always been associated to humanism (humans first, economics then) and

I see, thanks for clarifying. I don't know much about early US history, I think I'll dig in, because having democrats being pro slavery and republicans anti slavery is something I wouldn't have expected.

The name for the US republican party has always surprised me, especially because the other party is "democrat". Here in France too, "republican" mostly means "a non royalist administration". Democratic then pre

As you mention in edit, airbnb is not a US only service. I have no stats to prove that, but I've always been under the impression that suing is some kind of national sport in the US : it may not be that bad for the rest of the world. A

(this reply is for jschulenklopper too) Certainly, it was provocative of me to imply it was that simple : when you have to deal with processes at this scale, you can't do it without any sandboxing if you want to avoid users messing wit
