Cool concept, but does it work with GitHub 2-factor authentication? (cursory testing says no; anyone else get in?)

It's less to do with hiding data from the public and more along the lines of controlling the data so that no one in the company gets it before the public (and thus allowing said person inside the company to trade company stock on insid

Seconded. The company I used to work for had stories of a gong on the sales floor that would sound when someone made a sale. Once they were publicly listed, though, the gong went away, since anyone on the floor would have an idea of sales f

That's an excellent point. The ceiling on those revenues, though, is still Amazon. It's a matter of the office assistant going to the online Staples/Office Depot/Max catalog or going to Amazon; there's not much of a

If you're referring to Desk quoting Gruber on their home page, they quoted from Gruber's "thank you" post which, while it borrows a lot from the original sponsor-written post, is still written by Gruber himself.

That's fair. By "do-gooders" I was referring to rude people that make it their business to point out all of your problems. Their motivation is not to "do good," it's to be right, and I totally understand not wa

I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle. You don't want "money-driven people" in the sense that all they care about is doing the least amount of work required to get paid. You want people that are "games-driven&qu

Not looking for dirt or anything, but why the fork? What makes this different from Node? (Only clue so far is the "open governance model"; is that in contrast to Joyent maintaining Node?) EDIT: Based on their CONTRIBUTING.md page[

Agreed. I'm on a low-data-plus-throttling plan on AT&T's prepaid subsidiary Cricket. I was on their lowest-tier 200MB plan for $15, and if I went over by even 1KB, I was "conveniently" given another 200MB for $15, ef

I'm not sure about the overdraft charges, but they did require the default for debit cards to "deny" a charge if it would result in an overdraft. So I won't overdraft my account by accident if, for example, I try to buy
