They have a version that is just $40 for the whole thing called "Veertu for Business". But on top of that, $40 is a lot to pay for an app sight unseen, so they wanted to have a way of offering a "free trial" or test mode

The free version lets you download and install Linux ISOs from their library. The paid version lets you use your own Linux/Windows ISO and/or import a VMWare/Parallels/VirtualBox VM. This is basically how they can offer

Last I heard, Blizzard ported World of Warcraft over to Metal with significant improvements. It wouldn't surprise me, though, if the relative age of the current Mac hardware is to blame.

Considering they'd have to add a physical interface for said games then make sure that whatever emulator they're using can emulate perfectly, yes.

Except that's already happened. That's been the rule since the App Store was set up. And Spotify responded by having the in-app price be $13 instead of $10. Spotify's other option is to not allow signups in the app at all; I

The cut happens automatically, and it's in place now for all subscriptions. So any Spotify subscriptions that started through the app at least a year ago are now getting the 85/15 split, without Spotify having to do anything.

Do note that Kodi said to "ask them to stop." Not "tell the police and YouTube and get them shut down." That's where the "And let us know" comes in: Kodi will then presumably write up official C&D lett

To be fair, buying an antenna entitles you to any broadcasts you can pick up with it. And to a lot of people, that's "TV."

Alternatively, they just decided to encrypt everything, maybe in case there was some sort of user data in the kernel cache. Now that they have a better idea of things, they can be selective.

I think Apple is attempting to reward services and startups that are focused on long-term value for their users. If I create a subscription app, I want to get to that 85/15 split. So that means I need to build my business such that I&#

I do feel like when a similar thing happened with the iOS App Store (app devs sued for using in-app purchases), Apple tried to insert itself into the case saying that all the technology used was theirs.

From the article (search the URL on Google to get around paywall), it sounds like the biggest hurdle is ensuring a private company complies with international treaties concerning space and the moon. They described it as a regulatory Catch-2

One solution is to use Google Authenticator (or a similar compatible app) that generates the codes on-device so no data/SMS connection is needed.

Totally. Would not surprise me if, in a few years, Xfinity is spun off similar to Time Warner Cable.
