Can you give any more detail on the matter?

Absolutely. And Apple, and Dell, and anyone else that uses rechargeable batteries that degrade over time. This solves the degradation aspect of batteries, so it would improve the longevity of devices.

> note it does not charge the internal Macbook battery. Instead BatteryBox feeds power directly to the Mac in an effort to minimize the number of cycles (and stress) on the internal battery. Is this something that any power adapter does?

You make a valid point. In Musk's defense, I can't think of any car manufacturers that have used direct sales on this scale, so while the correlation does not prove causation here, it doesn't disprove it either. He seems

The value to Aereo is in markets where local geography and budget constraints don't allow everyone to get every channel over the air. For example, we can get NBC, Fox, and PBS reliably, but CBS is spotty and ABC is out of the question

They do pay pretty big bucks; both CBS and the local affiliate groups tend to have pretty long drawn-out conflicts over those fees. Yet their signal is still broadcast for free. Yeah, I don't get it either. :/

Yeah, they'd be facing a MAJOR class-action lawsuit from their affiliates (many of whom are part of not-so-small conglomerates) if they actually attempted anything like this. I have serious doubts they even have the power to do this, a

I'll add that the original "selling" point of Svbtle was its "drafts first" approach (that I really appreciate). There's also a few references in the announcement post today mentioning writers' identity (f

Any platform needs exclusive apps to draw people to it and only to it. I'm probably never going to get a Windows Phone no matter how good the platform looks because I can't get apps like Tweetbot and Reeder. Ben Thompson does a be

I agree; iOS devices are AMAZING game consoles. The problem I'm worried about is the one mentioned in [Ben Thompson's article][1]: that easily portable casual games don't differentiate platforms. If you can get Fruit Ninja on

Thanks for the feedback. I think the point I was trying to make at the end (with mixed results, obviously) was that both companies are still learning about online services. Apple would be the leader in this case if only because their store

Thanks for your feedback. The article was prompted by just some general "what-if" thinking. Apple needs exclusive games, Nintendo has game. Nintendo needs to survive, Apple has money. It's a what-if scenario that people (or m

That's a good point. I don't know as much as I should about the clinical trial process or the ability of terminally-ill patients with nothing to lose to seek experimental drugs. In a better world, it'd be as simple as patient
