This is why I'm always skeptical of people zealously claiming "all GMOs are perfectly safe! It's been proven !" Yeah, proven by expensive studies that were funded by the company making the GMO. Who is going to pay for a

The trick is to frame it as a question, so the original creator "solves" the problem on their own and thinks it's their idea. E.g. Instead of saying "make this blue darker", you ask "this might be hard to read

The ideas they talked about at this summit were really exciting: my favorite is the Interplanetary File System: a decentralized way to share files without a server. They did a crazy demo of a chat room where you could chat live, drag and dr

Some people may be willing to take less pay in order to have more control/freedom in a small startup, rather than just being a cog in the machine at Google or Microsoft.

What is with capitalism's obsession with constant growth? Buffer is a great app, I use it every day, but how in the f*ck do they need 100 employees to maintain it? My company is writing an entire smartwatch OS, including companion apps

#define is part of the preprocessor, which does very basic string substitution on the code before compiling. Useful in small doses, but also regularly abused.
