when comparing msft/amzn with the rest keep in mind the state tax and CoL. that being said goog and fb also have seattle offices. but msft and amzn have bay area offices that pay more as well

l5 is terminal level for vast majority. meaning you can stay at it for 10+ years and not be expected to move up without hard work and luck
