Great point. Marketers would be foolish not to use this data and extrapolate especially for something so global. I wonder if it could also be used for good though...

Sadly, this is very true. It's not cool anymore (just check Google Trends to confirm) to think about it and society doesn't care enough about the vulnerable that it affects (old and poor). Or they care, but they care about themsel

We simply need capable egomaniacs to move society forward via exploration. The type of people that shrug at loss of life and say "That's the cost of exploration. Next?" and then somehow motivate a whole slew of people to dedi

I'm in the same boat. I do wonder how much author X makes when I borrow his/her ebook or audiobook on Overdrive. Any thoughts from anyone?

The patient's, sadly. The one person whose problem-solving abilities are impaired. Quackwatch.org did help my mother decide things and move away from the treatments above.

I would caution comparing IBM to McKinsey. Very different DNA. Also, vs Accenture\Deloitte there is a big difference in that the two don't have their own products to push into boxes in component diagrams - IBM does and execs know it. T

That depends what the alternative medicine asks the patient to do. Anecdote: my mother was told to do coffee enemas in Tijuana to get rid of her colorectal cancer. She very seriously debated it with me.

A few angles: 1) Somebody wise once said: "Only look in another persons bowl to see if they have enough to eat." Not doing this will cause you to ruminate on all kinds of people's wins at life. In turn, this will cause you, o

Eagerness for normality (e.g., "Back to the office we need to go and ASAP!") seems inversely related to the capacity for change managers have. It shows how much control those managers truly require over each member of their team.

Every Michener impacts you differently. Also, his style of writing is unmatched in my opinion. He is a master storyteller and can take any topic to make it interesting.

Love that this came up. He is the type of man one wants to emulate. This had a huge positive influence on my romantic relationships and will probably help with my family one day.

When you visit the Astronaut Hall of Fame at the Kennedy Space Center, you notice a common trend between the astronauts: most of them were scouts. This is terrible news for the children of our generation.
