According to "people familiar with the matter" the new iPad will be better. They've used "people familiar with the matter" three times in less than 500 words, however "people familiar with the matter" can't tell if they are paid per number

I've had a similar experience with a HP machine. However, don't blame Windows for this, Windows 7 by himself is a pretty decent OS, as long as you do a clean install. The version that cames preloaded on new machines is usually full of crapp

The usual whining about how Apple is a closed platform ... The Apple platform is no more closed than the Windows platform. Sure coding for iPhone and iPad is more restrictive than coding for a Mac, but nobody forces you to deploy your talen

Has anyone successfully used Bigloo Scheme for SICP ? I've used Gambit Scheme in the past for the first 2 chapters from SICP, but now the website of Gambit Scheme seems to be unavailable: http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~gambit/

I admire Stallman for his strong will, the guy will do anything to live at the height of his ideal. Even if you do not share his philosophy you still can learn a lot from the man.

I think we'll better wait for iPad 2, I'm sure it will be way useful than Xoom. The only interesting thing about Xoom, from a programming point of view, is that it lets you code in Java, if you are so inclined. Unfortunately I see no viable

Actually now you have VBA in Office 2011 for Mac, I don't see the reason to post a 4 year old link, especially when it is not applicable anymore, see for example: http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/whats-new

I've never needed a supercomputer to see the Mandelbrot and Julia set! I've seen fractal programs even on DOS based systems, fractint was one of my preferred applications almost 15 years ago, the computer was an old 486 with 16MB of RAM.
