Pretty weird question. Are you writing malicious executables and then running them at work?

I work at a bank and I can tell you that nobody is emailing or sharing files to their personal devices. Doing so would have you fired on the spot. At my workplace apps are whitelisted and it's honestly not a big deal. Very rarely do I

You are quick to dismiss this as political. Counterpoint: what makes 40 hours a week the sweet spot? Why is 40 more productive than 50?

Is a fallout over testing automation really so severe that you have to quit your job? It should be possible to disagree without burning bridges.

> Software companies have to hire many people because it needs to report growth to investors, headcount is one of the measurement of growth. I mean this is just wrong. Companies are always under pressure to cut costs (employees) and it i

This is a ridiculous take and you are not really adding anything to the discussion. Musk has successfully run companies in the past and is running two extremely successful companies right now.

So why doesn't everyone hold their crypto in their own wallets? If this keeps happening it speaks to the fact that the current system isn't well designed.

It's not based on personal credibility, it's based on regulation. Wells Fargo wouldn't collapse because it's regulated and has some actual provable guardrails in place.

Do you think energy companies drill oil and burn it for fun?? They do it to provide consumers with energy and consumer goods. If consumers are more efficient or reduce their consumption then demand for these goods and services fall. Shiftin

That chart is ridiculous comparing lifetime Switch sales against consoles that are only two years old. Do you have a source for the statement that xbox hardware is sold at a loss? Finally, the clear and obvious win for MS in the console spa

Genuine question, why does it look bad? I don't think this would be a problem at all where I live (Australia). Worst case you could just leave it off your resume.

This seems like an overreaction. We regularly use scanners to detect foreign or hidden objects on people, such as at airport security. It's not out of the question to use such approaches at high level chess where the cost/benefit

Those numbers are wildly misleading. The Q2 2014 GDP drop was 1.7% but this is largely because consumers brought forward consumption of big ticket items to Q1 - where the economy grew by 0.8%. The economy ACTUALLY only shrank by 0.1% in 201

The incident in Kabul is the cost of doing business in war and security operations. The military understands that but politicians and the public do not or at least act as if they don't.

Market cap is a measurement of value. GDP is a measurement of output. Comparing the two doesn't really make sense.

That doesn't make sense. Halsey is already signed. She doesn't need the capital or really even the label any more. But at one point she did - so she signed away those rights and the record label is holding it over her right now.
