This isn't strictly true. It costs considerably less for the state to support a child than an elderly person. Furthermore, your plan results in a massive baby surge regardless - if you start allowing mass immigration of young workers,

You can actually already get body units for hearing aids. Even better, you can get radio-aids, where the microphone is elsewhere. This is particularly useful for students in a classroom, for example, where the teacher may wear the microphon

Something really struck me with this post (emphasis mine): > I felt like public high school just wasn’t serving her best interests anymore, and it was time to do something radical on her behalf , and at 16, she just didn’t belong ther

Maybe I'm cynical, but talk is cheap. I remember when Facebook bought face.com. From the face.com blogpost announcing it: > "we love you guys, and the plan is to continue to support our developer community.” ...the API was shut

That question really needs to be flipped (this is true of any "what's your favorite feature of [x]?" style question). It's far better to ask "what would you change about Xcode / developing for iOS[1]", b

Both. It's clear right now that self driving cars can perform very well in ideal conditions. It is considerably less clear that they perform well in poor conditions. I haven't seen any demos of Google's tech in low visibility

This is somewhat off topic, but since you mentioned it and I rarely see anyone into such things: I have a Korg Triton Extreme with a dodgy joystick (it gets stuck on the pitch bend), how easy a job do you think that would be to fix?

Happens all the time, especially when there are big events on. I had a driver a few weeks ago who had come down from Sacramento to work the weekend in SF for such an event (Dreamforce, I think) and was relying solely on GPS.

I think you're getting confused. MAC addresses aren't passed up-stream (in IPv4). There are many ways for websites to uniquely identify users. A MAC address isn't one of them.

There's no scientific evidence that letting cats outdoors cause a decline in bird populations: and that's according to the UK charity that campaigns for the protection of birds[1]. The majority of birds that cats kill are frail, i

I guess you either didn't read the post fully, or you misunderstood it. For what it's worth, Jonathan Zdziarski literally wrote the book on iOS security and hacking (and a good book it is, too).
