Mostly the argument expressed by others here: it would be too boring and it will encourage the further production of things like No Man's Sky that will ultimately fail to satisfy because the number of hedons per game frame is very lo

Other less liberal governments will simply ban something they consider sinful instead of try to make money off it while letting their populace (who they are supposed to care about) slide into hell (if the thing is truly sinful). Historicall

Yes, my comment was sarcastic. Roads have been and still are built by governments and private groups and even individuals for a long time. I have no issues with taxation in general, but I think personal income tax is a mistake and related t

If a government is already having trouble collecting funds it is owed, this currency will not help it. The government would just be faced with two problems instead of one.

That is a problem of robotic hardware, not AI. It's really easy to hook up a microcontroller to get mic input and query a voice recognition server (backed by some sort of AI software) and then do commands based on interpretation of the

Radar is kind of fun to get into, though 2 Ghz isn't a very good frequency for (through-wall) imaging. http://ocw.mit.edu/resources/res-ll-003-build-a-small-radar-... has some SAR demos, and if you follow to Dr. C

Indeed, perhaps we should aim to have weaponized drones following cops around that can precisely target weak points when the cop orders. This article also makes a compelling case that when the necromorphs come, cops will be useless to prote

How much under $30k were you? $30k is still a lot of money, even if it's not the even larger $100k-$150k number more and more people are reporting. What were your average monthly expenses including the summer months, and did you work a
