This a dreadful comparison. There is nothing to show depth of field; there's no comparison between performance in low-light and harsh-light conditions; no comparison between flashes. All-in-all, pretty useless.

I don't think this could be more wrong. Apple is not a company that makes jewellery; it's a company that makes the world's most intuitive technology. Whether their phones are considered "bling" or not is immaterial. Apple's marketing strate

Maybe I'm missing something here… but is there a particular reason that you built your service atop what you admit yourselves to be a crap platform, other than "nobody else is doing it"? Seems to me there's a reason nobody else was doing it

I really don't see that this is a good idea. Icons are by definition graphical, they aren't textual. I can see the draw of having vector icons; but we have other technologies for that. I know people are probably going to tell me an "SVG s

I may be misunderstanding the spec, but it looks like you have to be able to set element attributes for this approach to work, which I'm fairly certain you can't set with CSS. And I guess even if you can use JS to set the attributes, there'

The "in multiple categories" part is pretty key here. What he's talking about is being able to combine the results from multiple queries, not simply returning more results in a page for a given query.

Oh, I love this: "Smart Tags caused immediate and vocal backlash among webmasters and content creators who sill harbor quaint notions that they, not Microsoft, should be in control the content and advertising at the sites they create."

It's worth noting that Nokia have had self-updating operating systems (ie. over-the-air) for years now. Admittedly, I wouldn't expect it to get much of a note in this article, but it's definitely not something that nobody has pulled off yet
