For comparison, in the US four-party system provided by credit card networks (Visa/Mastercard), interchange fees paid by consumers (~2%) more than cover the costs of fraud. (IIRC < 0.5% of transaction volume.) In my view, the insani

I miss the days when visalist wasn't full of hostile anti-patterns. Back in 2019, it was easy to recommend to fellow travelers as an accurate source of information. Not so much, now. I'm sad to see that it funnels users away from

Rhetoric is the art of persuasion. It's not a flaw in communication which one should try and avoid; rather, it's a very useful set of skills to develop. https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/general_writing/academic

Having spent some time with OCR and scanning recently, I'd have to agree. A lot of news articles are describing JBIG2 as something archaic, when it seems to be as relevant and commonplace as ever. (see MRC, for a modern application)

I agree, writing (and arguably configuring) robust logging libraries isn't much fun, and not easy to do yourself. So, don't. Ship the logs as quickly and as simply to a system which is explicitly for log management. The choice isn
