Oh yeah, I was thinking of something more specific, but I'll look into that too. Well but then there's a big missed opportunity there, isn't it? I mean, it sounds like a principle like that would apply to most scenarios, unle

Could you list some examples of those legitimate reasons? I fail to see any, and I've lived with smokers my whole life. I'm genuinely interested.

It doesn't. A packet cover (yes, they make cigarette packets covers) costs 2 Euros, and smokers don't seem to be concerned about the disgusting images they put on the packets. With all the added benefits that everybody at the tabl

Not OP here. Think of all the time people spend in face to face meetings every day when working from the same office. And now think about the time you spend on conferences in front of your monitor.

Would you trust using a potential "data-slurping" add-on at all? I honestly wouldn't, neither for my bank info, nor for my search queries. Just be mindful of what add-ons you install.

If Skype dies we basically have no alternative. Sure, you got Slack, Hangouts, Teams (as you mention), the new Atlassian thing etc. but that's mainly for group efforts or for a company setting. Skype isn't used just by businesses.

And Skype. We need a Skype alternative that works on Linux and it's not an electron app. Hangouts/appear.in and web.skype.com simply don't work the same way and don't have the same quality.
