Have you raised that with starlink support?

San Fraction is such an interesting place and could be so much better if real estate and housing was significantly cheaper

Wow, that’s quite a list of installation instructions.

I wonder whether this would be better spent integrating into QUIC

Amazing how the C++ standardizing body makes APIs that are both way too generalized and yet not flexible enough to be highly usable and safe.

If we’re not using the equivalent of 100% of the total solar input striking earth in 400 years, we’ve gone down the wrong path

You’re describing a GPU.

I guess that’s be cool. I just want to take advantage of this phone that I carry around in my pocket that’s more powerful than my laptop.

A crewed flyby? What is the point of that? Colonizing the clouds of venus is a good idea eventually, but it's certainly not a viable first target.

This looks sick. Would love to have a version that uses ROMs on the local file system

I fail to understand why being able to read cursive as easily as print is important.

I mean, dude, I’ve seen the C++ written by organizations with supposedly highly-competent programmers. I think maybe we should let programmers get a little help from language designers.

A version of libgen with just epubs would also compress very well.

A GPU is almost certainly what you want. Modern GPUs have some interesting tricks up their sleeves that make them much better at branching code than previously.

It’s going to be extremely exciting when a group figures out artificial muscles that can be actuated electrically with high efficiency and speed.

Rust on embedded seems a hell of a lot more viable for large, complicated projects. You can basically use the entire standard library (sans io and alloc, obviously).

I think it’s that there’s one crc32 pipeline, but it can have up to three ops running through it at once, at different stages. I could be misreading the article though!

A functionally correct and slow compiler is not very useful and is almost certainly a waste of effort to implement.

Just eat fewer times a day. I usually eat one meal a day (though often not quickly, like the OP would like) and it works out great.

I wish articles like this were more clear about what imaginary numbers are. Saying “reality requires imaginary numbers” sounds cool and mysterious. “Reality is best described using rotations in abstract vector spaces sometimes” is not.
