I was under the impression that Google gave bulk access to the NSA, and the NSA wiretapped them regardless. I don't have a source to substantiate that claim though.

You could err on the side of the living ancestor(s). In absence of saying "that fraction is approaching zero", you could assume the intent of the original buyer that they wanted anyone from their family living there.

Yes, he opted in to "vouch for" those people. A ethical UX designer would have shown a modal showing the full message with the list of people it would go to BEFORE sending it on the user's behalf.

He opted in for one action, and was signed up for two actions. How is the second action considered opt-in? He clearly did not give his full consent because the UI was designed to bury the thing that he would have explicitly opted-out of.

How is Dwolla better than bitcoin? It seems like it has the same drawbacks of credit cards (chargebacks), without very much benefit. Maybe I'm missing a killer feature, but Dwolla doesn't seem all that interesting, just another paypal compe
