I really like this post by Mark Cuban and the HN discussion about Why you should never listen to you customers. Worth checking out.. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1244756 [2010] https://blogmaverick.com&#x

If you haven't heard of The Time Piece Gentlemen, aka Anthony Farer, it's my favorite recent ponzi scheme as he documented the entire thing online. Because of the scarcity of Rolex's there are 'Grey Market' dealers.

Dang, that’s a bummer to hear about Oliver Tree. Love his schtick, never realized he was taking the music so seriously. I always assumed it was intentionally simple to the point of mockery.

Yeah it connects to a little water chiller. It’s a quick connect system. I’m not sure if it’s proprietary, but I’d guess it’s not. The chiller has physical climate control buttons.

It’s funny because I think overtime this is the same sentiment that seeped into the Ruby community. It used to be with pride when something worked with ‘magic’, but Ruby and even rails have both gotten away from that mentality, and I think

I don’t. I was always worried about the sheet quality but seems like good feedback here.

I use the chilipad, from sleep.me . Seems like they have quite few options. I have the lowest end model and I definitely want to upgrade to the pro when I can. But the cubes have been good to me. And then I also use the bedjet. Bedjet.com.

Heating and cooling my bed has been such a game changer for me. I don’t have this bed. But I use the bed jet and chili pad. It’s great if you like to sleep with a lot of blankets without sweating. I like both. Neither tracks my sleep, use

It’s important for me to have grass to keep the dogs away from the ticks. Since I like the grass, I put about 2-3 days a year into maintaining it and making it as nice as I think is necessary. And mow 40mins a week. But growing grass can be

Dimitrov has had an incredible career too. They hyped him, "Baby Fed" - and maybe he didn't live up to that (one of the greatest ever), but Grigor has been as high as 3 in the world and has been in the top 30 for over a deca

One handed power might be less common. But 1 handed backhand slice is very common for players with 2 handed topspin/flat backhands. This is a common trope that gets thrown around in tennis. Anytime Federer struggled, analysts would hav

I got this same feeling a few trips ago to the vet. It was like all they cared about was trying to upsell me to put my dog out and clean her teeth. The nice assistant whispered to me “I wouldn’t do any of that to my shepherd” *wink. Inevita

This is what gaming companies are doing for their collectors editions. They charge people hundreds of dollars for a cheap plastic figure and a game case with a 4x5 sheet of paper with a code on the back. It’s all shameful.

I wish Apple would make a handheld gaming device and make it work with steam similarly through the proton layer like Valve. I'm sorta hoping by putting this into writing it might bring it into existence.

I’ll add some tinder to the fire. I have an indoor bug zapper. I set it next to a window and it gets the bugs that are inside. Does a great job. But always intermittently some small fly will fly into it. Even when a door hasn’t been opened.

That’s how I feel. I like both controllers, but the PlayStation controller for me is the most ‘next-gen’ thing about the consoles.

While I understand the sentiment, I think people here can discern between an iMessage and an hn comment. I would be curious to know the percentage of people commenting on mobile devices. I’d guess it’s a lot. I prefer the ui the way it is,

It's a little different than a kitchen gadget that sits on the countertop, but even Ycombinator got into the game, sort of. In 2013 Ycombinator invested 120k into Pantelligent[0]. It was a smart pan that would track temps as you cook.

I've seen that. They are packing massive collectors editions that cost over a hundred dollars with empty cases with download codes. It's shameful.
