Agree. Too big to fail is a terrible, copy-pasta argument that makes no sense. The combined worth of all the crypto-currencies put together is a drop in the global-financial bucket. The only people who would be hurt by a collapse to zero ar

and? obviously I don't want heaps of chamber pot contents on the sidewalk either. The point I was making is that, yes all littering is bad, but why does the consumer shoulder the burden when a huge majority of packaging can be avoided?

The difference is that one is biologically unavoidable and the other is stubbornness in the name of saving production costs.

I think the bigger issue is that the interview-to-hire process is not fool-proof, and never will be. It's a gamble, no matter how in depth or complicated your hiring process is (from personality interviews to whiteboarding to take home

Yes but when you get down to it, almost every activity you perform daily could be considered a detriment in terms of opportunity cost, unless you are progressing towards your goals at every single moment of the day not including sleep. Now

Yup, I also don't think it's Spotify's responsibility to make sure recording artists are making a "fair living". Comparing the average Spotify artist's earnings to a Spotify is comparing apples and oranges. Suc

fun read, but about as scientific as the claims it's trying to debunk. I've had bulletproof coffee, and it's just O.K. More of a marketing gimmick than a super coffee-bean. I do enjoy butter-coffee though, especially as a som

In regards to B: Wouldn't the agencies most affected by this type to image-to-website tech already be affected by WYSIWYG operations, (squarespace, wix, wordpress, etc.)? I am curious how many agencies are developing simple html/c

Good point. There's a lot of emphasis in tech around "disrupting". While in general that leads to a ton of innovation and technological progress, I don't think disrupting fiat/the economy as we know it is as easy as

Understanding how Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies work in general doesn't make them suddenly have more value. I really wish supporters would stop parroting the "if you only understood you would see how good of an investment this is&q

There's a lot of really great, free, resources available online right now. If you want to go the self-study route, I'd recommend something like Odin Project, freecodecamp, or a a-la-carte program using coursera/edx/treeh

It comes off as an attempt to click-jack people away from the OP to another source which doesn't offer any new/interesting info. If you want to add context, go for it, but this is just comes off as begging for page views.

I think the only real alternative is to get rid of the 8+ hour work day. Correct me if there is evidence to the contrary, but I don't think humans were designed to sit or stand in one position for extended periods of time, habitually.

It's not about being bitter IMO. Sure, some people are mad they missed the boat, but I don't think that is the general consensus (at least here on HN). There's no valuable discussion to be had anymore regarding BTC because ev
