As they exist today: free access to computers and internet. Information is only literally free and instant if you have access to the internet, which isn't gauranteed especially for low income people.

Where is this ridiculous idea that you need to have free will to make choices coming from? Free will is incompatible with the concept of choice, because all choices are bound by physical constraints. How do you make a choice without any con

Even on cash I rarely put the real purpose in the memo field... Coming from cash, and finding that the world has apparently settled on venmo, has me supremely disappointed. What the hell were they thinking? Payments is not a social network.

It's super frustrating. I used to enjoy watching legitimate documentaries - often featuring real-life witnesses of events from WW2, the great depression, various disasters, etc. I suppose that was many years ago now, but I still miss t

I keep coming back to this. How many lives could have been saved it improved with the expense we put into saving 12 people who went caving in monsoon season? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad society found a way to save them, I just wi

This is 'Xbox One is online-only #DealWithIt' level sentiment. Fuck the consumer, right? I really hope the market punishes you for this sentiment. And P.S. Apple is strong because of the iPod and iPhone - macOS is a tiny part of t

This is a big success. We need more scientists willing to publish dead ends and ideas that turn out to be wrong. At the very least it hints at future areas of research. A lot of great science involves testing common sense and finding it

Clearly it's exaggerated bullshit. People put themselves through hell all the time; I'd be dead if you could 'never repay the sleep debt'. They should focus on how miserable sleep deprived people become - that's a r

Don't blame it on the kids - blame it on the schools and the culture. Kids don't change, but schools and culture can. Look at other parts of the world (and particularly progressive places in the US) for evidence of this.
