Looks nice. I've used Vivaldi in the past, but if I'm to pick a new browser, it needs to not use Chromium. I'm not too picky about my browser; I just need my password manager and good devtools. Can most Chromium-based browser

I've read it as not only "draining" but siphoning it to the US. Even if the US plays don't work you've injected money into the US.

It doesn't even have to be open-source. Any JS that will get run is handed to your browser and you are able to inspect it.

All JS is executed in the browser. If the malicious site wanted to steal the data, it must send the key to the server. With enough inspecting, debugging, and network watching you would be able to see what they're doing and how. While I

As I understand, an illicit would mean the test materials and process are not approved or regulated by the CDC. I'm not sure what laws could/would apply.

Interesting. We handle most of this with makefiles, local kubernetes, Skaffold, and Kustomize (in CI). I'm excited for some tooling around this from the .NET Foundation, but still not sure what the value-add of the project is.

It sounds like you've gotten enough positive feedback to know you're not an imposter. Sounds like it's your interview skills or first impression?

I see. I didn't realize the Twilio backend did more than a simple p2p webrtc system.

Can someone explain why we need a Twilio backend to do WebRTC? I've never done it so I don't know, but I thought the whole point was that it's peer-to-peer. I know there is some kind of "discovery" layer required, b

Interesting study. I wonder what "enhanced problem solving significantly" means? Also first time seeing my alma mater on HN :)

Embarrassing but not surprising. Billion dollar startups do not operate like billion dollar companies. That's kind of the point, but the valuation is very misleading when it comes to expectations like this.

I don't have any advice but I hope they are able to recover their money. Shitty people like that are why some US states like Massachusetts now require all renters to find apartments through a registered broker. Sounds nice and safe but

Vue will be much more understandable. I've used both pretty extensively (React at work and Vue at home.) and I like both. React definitely feels more complex but there is also a lot more OSS to pull from. One thing I don't like ab

The author mentions 4 times that privacy is a basic human right, I guess to guilt us into agreeing with them. But the article's actual argument is that contributing to a specific FOSS project is a basic human right, which it is not.

Anyone reading can "log" the messages. If anything, a server that always logs just forces you to understand that your messages were never protected.

In the US an upscale place would never bring a terminal to your table. They give you a check (receipt), you put card or money down, they take it to their register, and bring back a customer receipt or change. Money is often a taboo subject
