I assume English isn't your first language, so this is my attempt to correct. Please don't take this as a criticism, but rather as (hopefully) helpful feedback. Even with English as my native language, I'm sure there's s

I have no affiliation with the service, but I assume that: 1. They're small 2. They're new 3. Their team has more experience developing for Apple devices, thus it was quicker to release for those devices first before tackling Wind

It didn’t come across like that at all. I found it very educational actually as I imagine that’s where Gruber/Swartz got the syntax from.

It might be because I’ve already used DuckDuckGo on my browser and have turned off those things in the settings, but duck.com just redirects me to a clean DDG homepage.

I think the problem here is that YouTube alone isn’t profitable. I think the only thing keeping it going is as an additional vector of ad placements for Google. YouTube is an extremely expensive service to run as well. No one really has a c

I don’t really see how the cost of bandwidth is the main factor. What would change by lowering said cost? The corporations of the oligopoly would also benefit and I feel they would just have larger margins allowing them to keep their domina

I’m rather young (on the border of Gen Y and Gen Z) so I guess I’m not old enough to have used either old Unix email or Usenet, so thank you for that tidbit.

Nope. I’m not mistaken. What you’re talking about only applies to Xbox 360. For Xbox One, you lose access to your claimed Free Games with Gold when your subscription lapses until you resubscribe. The same is true for the free games to PlayS

I’ve always chosen Apple because there’s always been very little friction, thus very little frustration. However, the past year or two has been very frustrating. Taps on my iPhone 11 Pro sometimes don’t register because it’s in the middle o

I’m not a huge fan of it either and I agree with some of your points, but: 1. They are investing in first-party studios, but I’m not sure about second-party 2. Most of the launch games available to Founders are up to 50% off and included 2

I don’t disagree with your main point about losing games, but the fee is strictly for Stadia Pro, which permits 4K and 5.1 surround sound. Stadia Base is free and will launch in February, but only permits up to 1080p and stereo sound. You s

I can't speak for Vizio Smartcast, but both the mobile app and desktop website both support Chromecast. I watched the first few episodes of The Mandalorian on my Chromecast last night. I started casting from my Linux desktop no less.

Searching requires that you know what you’re searching for. So, 1) I doubt most people use the settings search in general and 2) I doubt most people know there are settings related specifically to advertising to search for.

I’m late to this, but the real point that should be made is that Apple does not allow this functionality for any developer on the App Store, just themselves. Developers have to respect the free trial period even if the user cancels, but not

A guideline is a rule, just a non-specific one. Sometimes it's more a suggestion, sometimes it is iron-clad. For example, HIPAA Privacy Guidelines will still land you into serious legal trouble if broken. The fact that Apple are reject

Let me correct myself: Oath (formerly Yahoo) and Bing. However, that's still not right. It's now Verizon Media (formerly Yahoo) and Bing, not Oath. DDG was originally using Yahoo and Bing. Yahoo was thrown under the Oath umbrella
