This was in the time of dumbphones, which had battery life on the span of days, not hours. Compared to cell phones back then, it was relatively abysmal to need to charge your phone once a day. Even Blackberries didn't require daily cha

For anyone with a technical inclination, we knew this day would come eventually, thus Google did as well. But for the layman or casual user, one would assume the unlimited space would remain free forever. Companies really need to be upfront

No. The work has already been done for all those things I want, I just can't utilize any of it. I don't want Apple to do anything other than allow me to install apps outside of the App Store and without the bullshit 7-day restrict

Yes, but denying competing engines with competitive features does. All browsers on iOS have to use Safari's backend.

I'd love for GTA to go back to London (i.e. expansion packs for the first GTA). I'm ready to explore somewhere other than Liberty City, Vice City, or San Andreas, especially since the last one excluded a lot of areas from the orig

It would have made perfect sense if it was just omitted, so no alternative necessary. I still think the parent comment was a bit too sensitive over nothing. The original poster didn't seem to mean anything by it.

Not if you want your UI to look the same across platforms, but still look like it "fits" in wherever. One is free to use SF symbols specifically on Apple devices if they want, or if they want it to look the same on Android, Apple

I think a lot of people are missing a major point: they specify mobile and macOS. Monochrome UI icons are the norm on those platforms and they're trying to conform to the designs of those systems. Fluent UI is meant to be cross-platfor

I may be in the minority, but I prefer the monochrome icons. I've always found the old set distracting. That might be due to my mix of SPD symptoms and ADHD. I definitely think it should be an option though for people that find the col

Unfortunately, they're not related. My surname is also pretty short, so the first part (e.g. minus the "io") is set up to be a decent acronym...for something.

My surname ends in "io" and I've been trying to get my <partial_surname>.io domain for years. It's a shame that it's being squatted, especially considering the only people with that surname are directly relate

That's still not the point. The point being made is that most people don't even install an OS to begin with. They use whatever is pre-installed.

I'm pretty late to this, but Visual Studio (full edition) does have extensions. Resharper, for instance, is a popular Visual Studio extension. https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/

It might just be me, but Apple TV on the web is extremely slow and buggy. Also, Windows lets you login into your iCloud account without the iCloud client, so you can still have your iCloud calendar (and emails) in the stock apps. I don'

As the other comment mentioned, the UI is much better nowadays, especially with 2.8. I actually find it more intuitive than others like Cinema4D, Maya, and Houdini, whereas it was the opposite previously.

An even better version of your argument is that Apple is the landlord, Telegram is the one renting the space to run a bar, and a few people are in the back corner planning lynchings. Should it be Apple's responsibility to tell their te
