The current administration is utterly lawless. That is relatively minor compared to ICE shooting protestors and then stopping people from giving them medical attention.

Respect is earned by your actions and deeds, not by your death. When someone I know dies, I speak frankly about them, good or bad, because to do otherwise is a lie, and the most disrespectful thing to do is to misrepresent a person who no l

Using debit card for online purchases has substantial negatives and credit cards are much preferred (this may be US specific), but in the EU credit cards are a different kettle of fish and not as good as US cards.

Google Voice is available everywhere with a little effort. I've used it outside of the US for over 10 years. Even without GV there are other lower cost options. The actual (wholesale) cost of these services are around what GV charge or

The US provides a large amount of the military force so it has a lot of influence but you're missing the point: it is a mutual protection agreement. Each country agrees to protect the other against attacks. This would be the case even

How is NATO a mobster? It's a collection of countries that band together to protect each other. The Ukraine invasion is what happens when you don't have that kind of support. This is a very strange case of false equivalence. You m

You can do that with Google Voice for free and much lower rates. US/UK/Aus are 1 cent per minute versus 5 on your system, thats your competition.

That's because there has been rapid improvement by LLMs. Their tendency to bullshit is still an issue, but if one maintains a healthy skepticism and uses a bit of logic it can be managed. The problematic uses are where they are used wi

It's an opportune moment given how wildly expensive and in demand DRAM is and hopefully it'll give notice to the incumbents that they'll lose market share if they expand production. As they say in business: "Your margin

Trump hardly is a representative for "westerners", actually the majority of them think he's a lawless looney. No one outside of his administration or party is justifying his actions. Your comment is just bigotry.

This administration is lawless to an almost a comical degree. First murdering people with little more than the most obvious figleaf, now invading a country without Congressional approval. Clearly the US constitution is just a list of sugges

Yes, LLMs will continue to progress until they hit the limits of LLMs. The idea that LLMs will reach AGI is entirely speculative, not least because AGI is undefined and speculative.

Nothing you say proves or indicates that progress will continue indefinitely. Your argument says we should have flying cars by now, because they kept on getting better. LeCun says LLMs do text processing so won't scale to AGI, just lik
