It’s certainly a strange incident but I’m not sure about desperate.

Kudos. We have a similar unknown bug at work so we’ll see how it goes as we scale. Folks aren’t currently giving the fix too high of a priority but I suspect it will become a real problem soon enough.

It’s probable that they did do that, but also that the network issue didn’t appear related, even though it’s suspect on its own.

Does this have any performance impact with regards to throughput or latency?

No. It's very much okay to just do things because you enjoy doing them. Surely not every single thing you do in your life has meaning, but it might have meaning for you. What's the point in dropping a strange negative comment like

I disagree with your first sentence. People should be able to post about watching paint dry, or whatever else they want to mention. Strangers disagreeing with your choice of wall paint shouldn't turn into real-world anxiety/stress

My understanding is that the competition is quickly catching up to Tesla, while Tesla has made many promises over time and under-delivered on them. Teslas remain expensive and many folks may not want to pay that, though I've also read

It’s a valid question. Trusting your business resources to a tool is not a decision you make lightly.

I dislike the limitation on how many external displays you can have with a Mac, though by and large I've had very few problems with it. I can't really identify with any of the problems the author mentions, personally. The only pro

This is how I'm using them. Still have a username/password, with a passkey as an additional factor. I use 1Password for passkeys rather than Apple's solution, which enables me to use them wherever I have 1Password.

This smells of scam and bullshit. Why not make the money not real money? You’re just playing with people for financial gain.

With the ongoing clusterf*ck of streaming services only getting worse over time, I've begun dropping out of using them at all anymore and reverting to previous means. Managing your own media, even if simple, has proven to be way superi

Yeah, though the wallets remove half the fun for me. It's nice having the boxes on display rather than stuck into a wallet.

You'd probably need to read the contract they make folk sign to get a real idea of why. It could be that the contract structures it like a loan.

I feel that Jia Tan would also have inspired other, perhaps less well-funded, bad actors to try similar things. Often you'll see one attack succeed or semi-succeed, but the actual plan was a good one, and it gets copied by less sophist

I enjoy physical media but not the finding space for it part. Somehow stuff accumulates over time and if you've got 100 DVDs it is a lot of space that you may not actively be using. That being said, I don't have a huge living spac

Is there a good reason for this? Seems like leaving it in is fairly low maintenance, but the introduction of Dev Mode appears to be a shitty cash grab. As the person mentions, they're pretty deep into Figma so perhaps they believe that

Pretty cool that they’re releasing relatively “raw” models. I get why censored models exist though they are incredibly infuriating to use, specially as you start getting more specific with things. I hope they continue doing this as they imp
