Other than "email"? I don't think so unfortunately. I think federation has consistently failed on the UX side. You still can't migrate posts in Mastodon: https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/iss

There's no fundamental problem with federation. The UX can be made good enough for the average user. The problem here is the developers. Federation developers don't seem to be interested in UX. They aren't focusing on adding

Reddit has the same problem, anybody can make an alt and spam random BS on small or large subs. Moderators just deal with it.

Are you talking about the S5? It has a removable battery and has an IP67 rating so it should definitely be watertight.

I see that but they have to consider all the consequences. Harm reduction on its own is nice but a big problem with drugs is organized crime. Plus, I don't believe that harm reduction without rehab efforts is good because it simply enc

Sounds interesting but not sure if it holds under scrutiny. How does this work to shrink the black market? It feels to me that it would just help boost it.

My attitude is: I learn whatever I need to learn to get things done. And for a long time, I've just never needed to learn about how many bits were in a byte. The only time I've ever needed to deal with individual bits in Java was

The average web CRUD developer never needs to touch any of this stuff. - Numeric types? Who cares? I know min, I know max. I take number from user and insert it in database. For calculations with money, I use integer cents. - Bit-fields? I

Did you read some of those PubMed articles? Some of them have comments that really question the validity of their findings. For example: I see Pall has written a bunch and this one in particular has quite a few "sus" comments: ht

Kind of, see: https://odri.discourse.group/ It is indeed pricey though, IIRC the cost of a Boston Dynamics Spot-like robot came down to around $6-7k. There is still room to drive the price down though.

I'm pretty sure that's how medicine works. Obviously, if I knew the vaccine would kill me, I would not take it. But it's the same deal with literally any medication. When I was prescribed Accutane for my acne, I was told that

I am worried how the discussion around the vaccine has turned political and how there are a lot of strong opinions around it. I worry it might affect funding and also "politically taint" people who publish research about it.
