If in AWS, use Cloudformation. Your future colleagues will thank you. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=37218187

Pro tip: import your collection to Music app on a Mac, buy “iTunes Match” subscription, it gets available as Library on iOS devices. Match likes high bitrates, better chance on matching a song and not uploading.

IaaC code would be totally different, not the same, as Terraform sells it.

CDK defaults are too default, and you still have CFN in the end, which you have to view and approve anyway.

Want an advice from a pro? Stick with Cloudformation (CFN). Split stuff smartly between stacks. Use Outputs export/import. This is default IaaC way in AWS. I would not touch anything else, rather insist on full rewrite. Reuse templates

FWIW, I ran `/S/L/E/AppleGraphicsControl.kext/Contents/MacOS/AGDCDiagnose -a` on Catalina and Ventura and diffed it. MacOS Ventura seem to properly sense that monitor supports DSC: "DSC Support: 1, DS

> they broke it for the Pro Display XDR What do you mean, they had to kill DSC for Pro Display XDR to work?

Yea, the Apple Engineering Department asked me to run a ton of diagnostics, both on Catalina and Ventura, then came back with “Would you ask Dell to confirm their monitor is compatible with MacOS Ventura specifically”. Lol

MacOS broke the Display Stream Compression (DSC) in Big Sur, and has not fixed it since. I can have 4k@144Hz in Catalina but only 4k@60Hz in Big Sur - Ventura. On the same hardware, applies to all Intel based macbooks. Tried support, genius

Im 10 years working with AWS. I strongly prefer Cloudformation, just separate things smartly between stacks. It has export/import for stack outputs too. Just look at the “root module” mess in this discussion and you’ll get why.

Firefox is not a player in this battle, too small. WebKit is. If Apple one day stops forcing it on iOS, that would be the day the battle was lost, nothing would be stopping Google from taking it all.

Why the fox? Safari (WebKit) was always first to implement major privacy features, not Firefox.

I have Intel Macbook 16" (2019) and bought Dell G3223Q 4k @ 144Hz monitor and it only shows 60Hz maximum in MacOS Ventura. But it works fine at 4k @ 144Hz in MacOS Catalina, I made Catalina partition just to test it. Apple support kick
