A slight advantage, sure, but apple is trapped by the same thing. Neither of their products actually required full buy in of the ecosystem to exploit until now. It was just nice (eg airpods have a nicer pairing experience than other bluetoo

Edit: thank you! Man I get gestures have been embraced by the community, but this is emphatically not what I meant. The only gesture that makes sense to me is pinch-to-zoom and maybe swiping on cards that appear to be floating. There's

> You can shake iPhones to get an Undo/Redo dialog, for example. When are they gonna add a proper UI for this? I look like a moron using the phone this way, and shaking only works to trigger the undo about half the time.

83 vs 84 percent doesn't seem too difficult to present as "essentially the same". I also don't think this matters much—the result is impressive regardless of alleged rate of change.

Presumably management would also be highly regional. Functionality in san francisco doesn't imply anything about functionality in oakland, etc.

I would hope so! Are these rides actually cheaper? Assumably this is orders of magnitude less expensive than hiring a human and the driver is what you pay for. I don't see myself ever getting in a car if my safety is actually a concern

Rocket development seems more of a matter of capital than anything so it's hard to take this critique seriously. Good for them.

How do you figure? Chatbots don't cite their sources (unless you explicitly set up an RAG); search engines do. What value does the former have? Chatbots seem more useful for stuff like generating filler and changing tone.

Wherever people think their justice system hasn't failed them so completely. So, this includes many people in the developed world. Approximation of justice was always a matter of degree, not a boolean.

Certainly a common enough concern in people critiquing use of ChatGPT here. I'm more worried about "softer" problems, though—morality, values, persuasion, including deciding which of two arguments is more convincing and why

Let's just Europe does not send its best to represent itself on social media (a curse we all share, frankly). You talk to enough confidently-ignorant assholes and any desire to be polite vanishes. The number of europeans who think pres

I read ebooks, but it's not very difficult to determine why people like purpose-crafted goods. Especially when you pay about the same amount for an ebook. Vinyl at least has great arguments why digital copies are straight-up better .

Redwoods are impressive, but I'm not exactly sure a trunk passing out of the photo is the peak of tree aesthetics. I'd imagine the northeast or the northwest or parts of the south have the strongest claims.
