If the Trump era has taught me anything, it's that for the most part it's usually a fools errand trying to explain to racists why their views are wrong. As you mentioned they're just set in their ways. There's usually a

College is not the place to teach racists to become humanists. If they didn't learn that at home or at school, they certainly aren't going to learn that in college. They need to do some soul searching, which can be done from home.

Why would they have to change sims? IIRC Signal only requires a number for UX purposes, numbers are never stored on their servers.

Dumb question....but would they have been better off using Signal? Assuming a burner sim for registration.

These are some very good suggestions. I think they should take note on how the Kubernetes project operates, with the various interest groups, Slack channels, meeting notes + their recordings on Youtube. I think those channels catch a large

Thanks for the info, tbh you just validated my decision not to buy it. My 2015 iMac 5k has become really loud since the Catalina update when running an external display, even after replacing the fan and power unit. The fan noise is biggest

I'm almost certain if it weren't Torvalds, it would be someone else who creates something like Git. He just had the need and skills to create it. Like Bill Gates he was just a competent person, at the right place and time.

I don't think the idea of 'content control' is a bad one at all, as in you may want to filter out offensive content etc. It's just that it's very dumb to spell out the exact type of controversial words/content

This is ridiculous. What next, residents of Crimea be offered citizenship? Tibet? If I were a UK citizen I'd be extremely upset that my country's leaders are offering foreigners citizenship en mass with such careless expedition.

The scenario you described is a classic one and I really don't think it's as problematic as you may think. I had to reread it because it sounded too trivial. How about just throwing an error when the async function fails to write

I definitely wouldn't consider the first video 'advanced' material (an excellent talk btw), JavaScript event loop is something beginners should know about and intermediate developers know very well.
