What am I supposed to criticize? Your post reminds me of a time a guy asked me to do a code review of his java hello world program. I couldn't tell if he was f'ing with me, or if he was really seriously that much of a n00b.

When I used windows, it was emacs. When I used solaris in college, it was emacs. When I use linux at work, it's emacs. So obviously when I use my mac at home, it's emacs. Emacs now and forever.

I didn't say it was hard. It's also very easy to differentiate between a crawler and a user. But they don't even have to do that. Blocking the entire AWS ip range isn't hard either. I doubt any craigslist users browse the site through AW

Why would you go to all that effort if they don't want to play with you in the first place? If they really wanted to block you, they'll do it through their lawyers.

I didn't say it was a problem regarding people favoring BS over BA. UC Berkeley's CS program results in a BA, but I doubt there are any people out there that question the legitimacy of Berkeley CS. I'm just saying that it's lame when you
