Technically the comparison is not totally fair, that Hubble image was taken in visible light, while Webb's in infrared. Dust blocks visible light stronger, so background stars are effectively hidden from Hubble, but not from Webb. Here

Webb resolution is about 0.1 arc-seconds (wavelength dependent) [1]. Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) resolution is about 25 micro arc-seconds (wavelength dependent) [2]. So roughly speaking, since you cannot really compare the two, since they

The galactic center image won't be as fancy, unfortunately. Resolution of Webb is far-far-far too low to see anything related to the black hole, the best we could do is enhance the view of the stars near Sgr A* [1]. 1. https:/&#x

To generate soft x-rays/UV you don't really need an accelerator, since high voltage (not that high actually, since required kilovolts can easily be achieved) is enough to produce photons of those energies. Vaporization you mention

Thanks for answering. Since you mentioned your work on text-to-3d, what are the ways to enhance the image/3d model to actually be photo-(or rather reality)-realistic? Even (presumably) hand-picked examples from google on the linked pag

This aircraft was flying using the Coandă effect [1] (also see video [2] at 1:38), it was aerodynamically unstable and required active control. It was definitely ahead of its time. It would be great if some of those "crazy 40s-60s conc

Table 3 in [1] seems to suggest that there are many other places (some in Europe/EU/NATO) where company tax is lower than 20%. From the blog post it seems author moves for the attitude rather. 1. https://taxfoundation.o

Yes, buttons on the steering wheel are ones of the most useful ones, though even they become capacitive e.g. in new VW, BMW, Tesla Plaid. I have a VW car with a basic HUD (2015-ish era HUD, where a glass pops up). It can show lane keeping s

Sure. I never had a chance to assemble Lego from those days, but from unboxing/assembling videos [1] it seems that the manuals were either hand drawn or photos, so definitely it was a manual work. 1. https://youtu.be/xu

It is interesting how it is done by Lego themselves. Given the quality and accuracy of the manuals I always assumed that they are machine generated.

A surprise for me was that lightning is only USB2 and one-sided, so at any moment it is plugged half of the pins is unused. Additionally it has exposed wires, in case of charger failure, USB-C provides a better protection.
