To me, I actually see this as Google crowdsourcing the data necessary to have "answers" appear rather than search results for those things that make sense to.

I've been using Evernote Clearly for a while, which is easily the best extension for this in Chrome. http://evernote.com/clearly/

I may be missing something here. • Launched in May 2012 (but started in Nov 2011) • Run rate of $88 000 • Gross revenue of $500 000 One of these can't be true.

If it wasn't directly from them, I'd agree. I just think they had a great opportunity but didn't think it through enough.

I loved the idea, but like Logdown (posted on here today), they're hosted. I'd really love something like an amalgam of both services but self-hosted.

I agree. Of course, open source would be ideal, but if the creator wanted a straight paid model, I'd pay to for something like this where I could easily install to AWS/Linode/DO VPS/whatever..

I agree. This was massive for me. Being able to create a Droplet (from an existing backup) within a minute, test out an installation for a day, and have it cost almost nothing is huge.

That actually makes sense. As on the OS X side of things Apple are only going to promote their own browser, and on the Windows side of things, they need to convey that it works on a PC (which a lot of people will interpret from seeing IE).

I've gotten incredibly valuable advice here before, so once again looking to you all for some suggestions. I've had the idea of writing a guide/resource on developing and delivering presentations for a while, so I've bitten the bullet and d

This is a very fair response. I do however think that there is a group of people that have seen early success based purely out of just being smart enough to achieve certain things, and as a result, over relied on that.

For someone just starting to code, and looking specifically to work on web apps, this was such a well articulated response. I really appreciated it.

I have no issue with HTML/CSS and a bit of Javascript. But still find it surprisingly hard to get my head around native development languages (C, Obj-C, Python etc) As someone who is also learning to program, I think the most difficult thin

This is actually a great idea. I hadn't looked into this as I have no need for code hosting/project management — but using Pages makes a lot of sense. And of course, Jekyll & Markdown support. Thanks!
