Opening the article Incognito in Chrome and examining the network tab, over 170 requests in total weighing in at around 4MB (for me anyway). That is one reason I choose to use adblockers.

Unfortunately they probably going to go the way of TT. They never really had a decent enough revenue model IMO. Also annoyed after supporting them through purchasing avatars and a subscription that they still come back asking for more.
