It's interesting that it took this long to report on this. Kids have been getting hammered for weeks. Most pediatric units in the Chicago area disappeared in the last 2 years, and doctors are getting creative finding beds for kids. The

There's way, way more software that exists. All that boring enterprise Java and Spring stuff HN loves to ridicule represents the dark matter of the software engineering universe. There's tons of money in it and armies of developer

I got this NVMe wifi card that uses some key that basically only exists for motherboards and laptops with special NVMe wifi card slots. I couldn’t use it or find an adapter.

Well, I bought Mathematica decades ago, from the university book store. It came in a box and had an installer.

by nsxwolf 4y ago
Compared to Mathematica, which has an installer, and a cloud version. Docker image does sound useful, for a more technical user.

Now, I also bought a really long USB-C cable with a 90-degree angle connector to make it fit a bit nicer, and I can use Link instead of Air Link, cutting out a bunch of steps getting it going. That works pretty reliably, and has better vide

What would make it better in your eyes? A year's severance? 2 years?

The last time I got laid off, my severance was basically enough to buy a bus ticket to the unemployment office. What they're doing here is incredible. (Almost felt compelled to name names here but took a breath)
