I'm a British-American hardware engineer, I've lived in the UK nearly all my life. I've a home, and a family with kids here, I'm very settled. I've had plenty opportunity to move to the US, even before I had a famil

But you can have Obsidian access from any device already if you easily setup syncing using the official method (and support the project by doing so) or one of the community plugins. Doing it this normal way avoids opening up a massive secur

More news just in: you and I won't see much/any difference because we've done this (playing with computers) before, many times I expect. But I appreciate some of you left your Pis in the sock drawer and are unaware of the see

Now I can't follow the thousands of guides and examples tailored exactly to Pi software and hardware. Maybe now you can see why "and you're good." isn't actually true?

The mini PC also comes with a PSU (I assume). But I think paying 50% more for the option of upgrading a low-power machine is daft. Or paying 50% more for an OS I don't want.

Yeh, just load the RPI software image on and follow all the guides and.. oh.. yeh it's slightly different in small ways that could trip you up. Great, I love making myself more work.

Yes, this. The Frida tools method to remove cert pinning is the only method that has worked for me. The mitmproxy docs for android (as referred to by another commenter) didn't work for any apps I tried.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying there, but in a discussion about being maximally productive, old laptops with 8GB of RAM just don't come into the equation.

I don't want to be harsh but suppliers killing the product you're trying to build around isn't that unusual. It's horrible, and you should 100% stop working with them next time, but it happens. I'm really not surpri

They'd be very expensive. Is there really a consumer market for large amounts (tens of GBs) of RAM with super high (800+GB/s) bandwidth? I guess you'll say AI applications but doing that amount of work on a mobile seems mad.
