I travel to the UK a lot and am usually pretty careful with my Canadianisms, but during my last trip I accidentally asked a server for both a pop and a serviette at the same time, leading to a blank stare.

As bad as it sounds, I'm guessing this policy is because of the indigenous peoples who live in the area and not wanting to create a pattern.

I can't help but be remembered of the discovery of the HMS Terror, one of John Franklin's missing ships. It was announced that it was discovered conveniently located in what was already called Terror Bay, and that the ship's

As a Canadian who lives near the border (as many do), my family and I have been shopping in the US for decades. Covid already put a dent in that, but I can't see ever doing that again. As comparison, my dad remembers going weekly to th

Funny enough, I posted an article I wrote here yesterday with the same sort of thesis. Different technologies (mine was Docker) but same idea of LLM leading me astray and causing a lot of frustration

The protests lasted quite a long time and I think the public's opinion on it changed over time. At the beginning, most left-wing/centrist sorts of people saw it as an annoyance, but Ottawa is used to protests. Within the first wee

Without looking up the specifics, by the time of the convoy, the vast majority of covid restrictions were gone. They liked to complain about vaccine passports, which Canada had, but by 2022 the vaccine passports were gone everywhere except

Isn't this essentially the same argument as "there are only 10 covid cases in this area, nothing to worry about"? It's really missing the point, the point is whether or not exponential growth is happening or not. It does
