I worked at Oculus on every headset from Rift DK1 to Quest 2 from 2012-2019 and this statement could not be more wrong. > That was Corning, not Meta. You need more than a glass maker to build novel optical designs, besides which, none of

These SSDs are tiny. The controllers can easily get up to 80C during sustained writes, so there could be mechanical stress from thermal cycling. (Source: we also make small USB-interfaced high-speed storage devices and do a range of reliab

We picked it as one of two distros we provide internal support for because it continues to provide a good balance between being up to date and being stable.

The different shape is actually what makes them better. They sit flush in the laptop, which means from a day to day usage standpoint, they behave the same as having the ports fixed into the system. However, because they are modules, you c

AMD is a smaller company than you might expect, which drives them to need to focus. Once they got internal alignment to work with us though, they were all in from the start of kicking off the program.

We’ve shipped a handful of pre-release units to folks at Canonical, Red Hat, and Manjaro for QA/compatibility testing. We have seen a much larger number of people involved in kernel or distro development pick up released systems on th

That’s not correct. We’re USB-IF members, and I’ve read through large chunks of USB-IF specs. The spec I am referencing is the one that defines the actual connector. You cannot build a power source that uses a USB-C connector and doesn’t

This is incorrect. A USB-C power source can’t be in-spec if it doesn’t supply 5V by default. Other voltages or alt modes can be negotiated after that, but everything starts at 5V. This is defined in the base “ Universal Serial Bus Type-C
