It's a useless, unproveable generalisation from a supposedly omniscient "insider". I know of at least one finance organisation using HSM as you'd expect.

$1000+ for an online meditation retreat from a few guys with only a few years experience. Everything I hate about capitalism. How to take something beautiful and turn it into a cash cow :(

Fanciful rubbish from people who have either never put in the effort to write a book, or are so rich they don't need money from them.

Business model canvas & others for strategy. Trello to track tasks driven by my strategy for each milestone (with some flexibility based on competitor analysis). Without a strategy you're just drifting on the tide. It should underp

I just don't believe it's possible to reason without consciousness. Combined with intelligence, memory, etc it leads to actual understanding rather than just imitation, which is where AI is today.

No because their insights are through firsthand direct experience. Of course they may just be experiencing convincing simulations, but then everything might be anyway.

Wasn't it obviously pointless from the outset? Posts like this raise questions about the technical decisions of the company more than anything else IMO. Strange they'd want to publicise making such poor decisions.

Philosophy is just thoughts and thoughts about thoughts. To really understand consciousness researchers should study meditation (for direct experience) and traditions such as Buddhism that have been studying consciousness for millenia. See

I worked on a similar app. Did several iterations before binning it. If I were to do it again I'd focus solely on business model & value proposition canvases and research. You need to find a USP that both sides of your market reall

TBH that's polish. I'd worry more about how you plan to monetise it/keep it sustainable, and solve the empty shop problem. The problem with hyperlocal is you basically need to launch in every locality to gain critical mass fo

The fact it's possible to not ponder shows consciousness doesn't depend on pondering. I can't see how distracting yourself with something else (thoughts) could make you more conscious.

The philosophical zombie idea needs to be put to bed. Instead we should be thinking on the balance of probabilities instead. This is far more pragmatic. We can't know anything for certain, and the zombie idea is a convenient stonewall

Do you ever watch a movie/event or listen to music and notice you're not internally narrating what's happening because you're so engrossed in the action? Voila, consciousness without the inner monologue.

It's frustrating just how shit AI is at coding. The new gpt model seems even worse, splurging out a load of guff that makes it even more difficult to see the bullshit it's produced. AI a threat to humanity, my ass.

But why should we work 36-40 hour weeks? I'm only productive for about 5 hours per day of concentrated thought.

I just picked java up again recently and it's really OK now. I'd have used it for my project but spring boot doesn't have an auto-generated admin like django so I binned it.

Yeah same with motorbikes. Someone had a 125 when they were 16, hit 50 and decide to get a 1200cc superbike, then come off.

I looked into using Google cloud TTS or Azure for this but it was too expensive. How have you got the costs so low? Also the GCP voices don't have as natural intonation. How did you do that? I really didn't think there would be a
