This is just a director level person. Either 1. This is not important enough that a senior person (VP or above) is assigned to take care of Generative AI (the biggest shift since Mobile/Cloud) or 2. Robby Walker is cannon fodder and is

You haven't demonstrated the capability of Generics though (which C doesn't really have, only a minimal version). For this particular example, C++ does function overloading on parameters which C cannot hence you need this silly Ge

People unironically keep posting this article, yet here we are - in 2025 - a full thirteen years later and ZeroMQ remains a C++ application with no C in the mix. So, it seems to be a case where C++ should not work in theory but works in pra

You were going through some good points until you hit Rust and then the entire argument seemed suspect. Rust has none of the interactivity of the REPL or dynamism. Complete pain for a normal scientist programmer. Given that security is not

Among the many improvements, time is one area where C++ has become better than old school C cruft. In c++20/std::chrono, the Lua like code is just this - auto now = system_clock::now(); zoned_time local_time{current_zone(), now};

This is a Bjarne issue. For personal reasons he uses proportional fonts in his code blocks (in his texts) instead of monospaced and the code snippets always look bad. I guess he is stuck in his ways, just have to work around this ugly look.

What do you mean "gave" them 1.4 Billion? It's a loan so it has to be repaid. Usually, this is unsaid but with crypto people you sometimes have to explain basic financial conditions. Also, the loan was to bail them from risks

Quite honestly, doesn't seem like Rust is a win here over C++. In fact, C++ has fewer sigils that make it somewhat easier to read sort of striking the balance between being simple enough (C-like) and abstractions (templates). Readabili

Congrats!. Curious if you tried to run your game in C++ of 2024. What kind of improvements did you see (speed, performance, etc..) compared to doing it in 2004.
