That's generally (as in, both in the US [6th amendment] and the UK [Article 6 of the ECHR]) regarding witnesses offering testimony during trials (and the right of the defendant to cross-examine them) - not people giving anonymous tips

My guesses are that it's on-close so you can follow the per-shell history slightly easier (rather than it being interleaved from multiple shells?), or reducing disk writes?

Nvidia Shield is pretty good for this IMO. EUR 160/EUR 220 depending on if you want the pro version or not. Runs Android, can have a VPN, can run a {Netflix, Plex, etc} client. Comes with a remote. If you have the Pro version, you can

In some sense this news was surprising and great (40k is I'd estimate, ~0.5% of the unique monthly players!), but the release was also a bit misleading. The part "With that goal in mind, we released a patch as soon as we understoo

Yeah updating flatpaks on the Steam Deck takes ages, and because of the way the SteamOS is set up - you really are incentivized to use flatpaks over actual packages (which could break with updates).

> Because not complying with a correct-in-form takedown puts them outside of the safe harbor. Yes, I'm aware - I'm saying that the fact that the law allows truly unvetted takedown requests is silly - there should be some method

The safe-harbor part isn't bad. What's bad is that people can file an obviously bogus DMCA takedown request with zero repercussions. Companies that host content do basically nothing to actually verify that the takedown request is

I think the problem has always existed, but to a much lesser extent than it has in the last 3-4 years. Vintage has always had the bulk of deck's value in Power 9 and lands, and the only recent changes there have been things like Mystic

I find most of the Beyerdynamic higher impedance headphones (including the DT770/DT990 Pro 250ohm) sound very different (especially lacking bass + sub-bass) when you try drive them on a phone. For transparency, most of my testing of th

I wouldn't call FiiO high-end, they have a pretty wide range in most products (including DAPs) that goes from budget to relatively high-end ($1800). Astell & Kern start about one step down from FiiO's high-end, but can take yo

Pre-COVID there was actually an EU Parliament vote in favour of adding extra laws against scalping: https://www.kerrang.com/eu-parliament-votes-in-favour-of-new... - although I haven't heard much since.
