Wokism, if there is such a thing, is like a “me religion” —- it has no group consensus so to one person being properly woke means murdering a CEO in cold blood, to another it means feminism, to another it means bringing your own shopping ba

Correlation does not equal causation. I think people don’t participate in religion because it asks of them. Many people are lazy, greedy or hedonistic. It takes effort and “practice” to be virtuous or religious. Before Christianity took off

Religion is anti-fragile. The more persecution and negative press it gets, the more certainty we feel in our faiths. I would point out that nihilism is the opposite of religious faith, so the author is a little bit confused on that point.

I think we should find out who wrote the joke, if that matters to those who are downvoting me. Everyone is acting like Kimmel wrote the joke he is getting canceled for (ostensibly), but it’s quite likely the joke was written by one of his t

I feel like naming everything with a “K”, like how some families name all their kids with names that start with the same letter, is the real genius of KDE. Who doesn’t like those kinds of families.

There is an optimal amount of memorization for any context and it shifts over time. If I have to repeatedly look up a formula, sooner or later I will remember it. Memorization is like breathing, it’s important but not something to focus on.
