Didn't they do that with AlienBlue? I never used it so I have no idea how much of it is left or what they gimped. Regardless, if they wanted to create a better app they'd do it. They don't want to.

It's irrelevant to the topic, but I actively dislike Reddit and would be happy for it to die. I use old school forums more than anything else online. Reddit killed those.

And they shouldn't expect any public API even at a fair rate. No other platform does it at this point.

To be fair, buying 3rd party apps out makes absolutely zero sense when they can just ban them and improve their own client if that aligns with their business priorities. I stopped reading at that point. I probably would have laughed at the

It's not an own goal if the mods will continue to keep doing it because that's all they have.

Cmon man you're on HN, you should know to take measurements vs relying on feelings. You know around the speed that you pay for.

You could probably configure it for more with those alveo ma35d cards, bifurcation, and risers if you really cared and you're after volume of AV1 instead of higher quality prores. It'd also be much more expensive at that point and

So they communicated to you that it's a combination of all the above. You're just being difficult for the sake of being difficult here.

I feel like it's obvious? They want 3rd party apps to stay in some reasonable capacity. The definition of reasonable can vary, (free - low cost API usage), but it's not that important.

Private for two days is pretty hilariously ineffective, the mods don't want to close the subs permanently and give up control. Well not that anything would be effective. They really do need to funnel people to their app, their revenue

Then factor in switching costs or find a way to reduce them when initially making a purchase. Y'all are twisting yourselves into pretzels trying to justify why you can't easily cancel a subscription.

I agree with the general idea, but you should at least state the foundations of your beliefs when you do that though. There has to be some logical training of thought going on.

I thought this was dumb until I opened his Twitter and read through it for a bit and saw what his vision for it was and how he's creating it. Now I'm interested. Needs extension support before it's really viable though.

You are cheap. You're still basing your decision on the cost of using the product instead of the value it provides you. This isn't targeting you specifically though, most comments in this thread are stereotypical developers too.

Does that mean you've seen something similar lead to disbarment and prison time? What was it? I would personally be surprised because I haven't seen that.

It's not debatable that the adderall shortage negatively impacted productivity. It's a productivity enhancer, any shortage is a loss in productivity. It still would even if society was perfect. The amount it did to productivity as

If disbarment is the minimum, what's the maximum? I'm unfamiliar with other cases in which lesser offenses have led to disbarment.

How did you factor in legislation changes to hit that 40% number? There's about 0% chance we hit 40% without that happening. So it would make no sense to not account for it. Meaning that 40% is after changes?
