I think what jack's saying is that "font-size" to some extent is arbitrary. It's not scientific or worthwhile to compare fonts across a specific size if they have different x-heights. The only meaningful comparison is to

Goddamn, created an account to reply to this. Can't believe how stupidly judgemental and absolute you're being. There is absolutely nothing wrong with taking your time, thinking about this rationally and approaching it with a cool head. It'
