I guess. Personally I need to use the keyboard for at least a couple of hours. Some switches that feel nice when you test them, end up being tiring for long term use.

My advice to HN folks. Buy a keyboard with swappable switches and try out a lot different ones. My favorite ended up being lightly lubed cheery mx red. But you never know unless you try at least a few.

To be honest, although everyone know that the spike will not last, none of us knew how high it would go. Even $350 was out of this world. In hindsight it's easy to give numbers like $300 or $350. But I agree, for a lot it turned into p

I thought the goal was to punish the HFs that were shorting GME, which was pretty much achieved. I don’t think anyone(reasonable) was expecting the rest of the financial market to sit back and watch and miss the opportunity to join the part

On the other hand I am a EU citizen married to UK citizen, living in the US, so my skin in the game is mainly emotional. I am not saying EU was/is always right, as they don't seem to be right in this case, but I was just hoping th

Yeah, looks like they are stuck between a rock and a hard place. On one hand if they don't admit their liquidity problems, people will blame them for playing the HFs game. If they do admit, well.. it's pretty much game over for th

I don't think I implied that UK is in fault, or that EU is in the right here. The problem, in my opinion, is with the way the report it, the time they spend on it and the demonization of the EU. Even if EU is 100% in the wrong, do they

If you listen to UK BBC news, they spend half of their airtime saying how the UK government placed the order months before the EU, and that the EU is in the wrong, since they haven't even approved the vaccine yet(as of the last time I

Why are you so quick to assume that people don’t know what they are doing? Is it so hard to believe that at this point buying GME is more about activism than making profit? “When you ain't got nothing, you got nothing to lose”

Absolutely correct. The cows remain 100. When I said buy 200 cows back, I meant by the 100 cows TWICE. Buy them, give them back to the second person you borrowed them from, then buy them again, and give them back to the person you borrowed

There are 100 cows. A hedge-fund believes that the milk consumption will go to zero, so they borrow the 100 cows for one month and sell them for $1 each. Then they borrow them again, and sell them once more for 90c. Certain that they will w

Doesn't look like it's the same case. Hedge funds are losing at their own game with their own rules, and trying to find other ways to win.

Forget about that, way too advanced! I had a customer support on the phone insisting I was not giving them a valid email. “It should have something like @gmail.com or @yahoo.com”.

What’s in your opinion the reason Arm became the defacto choice for embedded systems? (And now making ways to general computing) In what ways was it so much better than MIPS that it virtually wiped it off the board?

I can't say I like the f" syntax much. I think JS's backtick is better. Other than that, I agree, much better than % and less verbose than .format. It's just the f" or f' that doesn't sit right with me
