I just played for a few minutes and loved it. Chess variants can sometimes take too long to understand the rules so this was great (excellent ux). I think I'd have liked it a bit more if you get captured (lose and restart) when you mov

I think I’m starting to see the potential.. So I could MPC cursor to my local Postgres (or, after some practice to build confidence, prod Postgres). Then use cursor to help debug. This sounds risky but very useful if it works as intended!

What are people using MCPs for? I search on youtube and see a lot of videos explaining how MCPs work, but none showing practical uses for a programmer (aside from getting the weather via cursor).

Interestingly, the 'episodes that made me want to cry' link (second paragraph) seems to be missing a src attribute, so it behaves like a link but when clicked doesn't go anywhere. I hadn't encountered that before:

Nice work. I've never subscribed to Adobe products, so I haven't experienced it first hand. My thinking is if your software is great, you shouldn't need lock-in contracts or adobe-like tactics. (I've dodged similar subsc

I suspect many who make software would never do what adobe does (deliberately make it difficult for customers to leave). Entirely subjective, of course, but I consider Adobe's retention strategies very sleazy (although not uncommon). T

I like your first idea (new UX layer over unchanged core) more than the second (fully customisable), although they're not mutually exclusive. An understated benefit of a consistent UI is if the user gets stuck and searches how to do XY

Usually I'd strongly bias toward OSS. But gimp's ux is just so bad, I'd sooner use (_vomits_) adobe knowing I'll have to wrestle a bear in order to cancel my subscription. But there's no need. Figma, while not OSS,

I really wanted to love gimp but I found the UI hard to navigate. I felt like I was missing panes and sure enough after 45 minutes of searching indecipherable icons I’d randomly discover a gimp pane tucked behind a completely different macO

I'd used GitHub Actions for at least 6-12 months before even realising <thing>/<thing> was not something that got parsed by the action (like a namespace and method/function), but was simply a reference to a github

Wonder how much the addition of copyrighted material affects how smart the resulting model is. If it's even 20% better LLM makers could be forced out of the US into jurisdictions that allow use of copyrighted data. I suspect most LLM u

Feel like I should be able to explain this, but I can't. What's the downside of using unicode? I note some webpages have UTF-8 in the head. Do larger character sets require user's browsers to download them first, or simply pr

Something that worries me a little is how comma would handle anomalies. Telsa has such scale that they're likely to encounter more anomalies and their software will learn from them. I'm particularly concerned about the sudden kind

Are there any reliable sites for ranking and benchmarking self-driving capabilities? (i.e. similar to what WebDev Arena and SWE-bench do for LLMs). Curious where telsa and comma rank, and where others (e.g. mercedes) rank comparatively.

Lots of bad apps on Apple App Store also have surprisingly high average ratings. My best guess: the app asks the user whether they're enjoying it, if yes, asks for a review, if no, nothing.
