Delta has improved in cell machinery and better cleavage site (point where its spike protein splits in half when entering the cell) but outside of it is well recognizable for current vaccine induced antibodies. There is no need for a new va

So you found your evidence for 1000x more viral load? It does not mean that it is 1000x more infectious and I did not say that. It "only" 50-100% more but this 1000x higher viral load also means that contacting it will bring you i

There are only 3 proteins on the surface of the virus and spike is most prominent. What is actually needed and is probably working for previous infection is knowledge about proteins that are generated after entering cells. Antibodies and ce

There you go https://www.google.com/search?q=delta+1000+times+viral+load If you call about 60-70% less transmission a little then you are right. Booster will increase this a little about 5x. Now get your booster and get of

I think you are not really understanding the idea behind this proposition. Humanity actually could eliminate all human to human pathogens with planet wide coordinated lockdowns. It is simple as that. Not being able to do this shows maturity

People react irrationally to this. It is like when people have been evacuated away from earth quake and now it is necessary to evacuate them away from tsunami, suddenly they start becoming to question government actions. Delta has 1000x vir

I noticed three misconceptions. First is - 2 doses of vaccine is expected to bring good immunity against Delta variant - well, this is simply wrong - high viral load Delta needs at least 3 doses of vaccine for adequate immune response. It i

Perhaps the easiest solution would be specially calibrated oximeters for people with darker skin - or a switch to change mode of the device. I would not call it racial bias - skin color is just one genetic trait like color of eyes and as sh

I have see this argument a lot (from people who are against vaccination) that vaccinated are less responsible. My personal experience shows the opposite.

One of the authors, Tracy Beth Høeg, was clearly against any children vaccination way before authoring this biased and heavily criticized paper.

Were you vaccinated vaccinated against flu that time? You are vaccinated against covid, had a light form and you are complaining about what? Not getting severe form? Are you sure you know how vaccination works?

There are plenty of people who were around your age and healthy but got very sever form of covid without vaccination and survived only because they were really healthy and strong (10% of lung capacity was still a lot). Long covid and hearth

Important factor is number of mutations. If vaccines cut the number of infections in half, it would be twice less mutations so two times less to generate a beneficial mutation. More we are able to cut down transmission, less possibility the

Unfortunately vaccine efficacy is calculated on the population level and Delta is a bitch. I feel sorry for you but as much I know, you need incredible luck to get infected again.

No. The difference is mostly in viral load. Delta can seriously ramp up its production and make an infected person infectious in 1-2 days. Only neutralizing antibodies can counter this so fast and 2 dose regimen dose to build level high eno

Current vaccines are incredibly effective but so is also Delta variant. It is still surprising for me that just a extra dose can efficiently combat it.

I do not know how you managed to come to this conclusion. COVID-19 vaccines are directly beneficial to children because they help them to avoid serious disease. But we can't discount indirect benefits. Drugs are for individuals, vaccin

Perhaps you are not aware of children having life long cardiovascular issues because their parents were too stupid to understand that COVID-19 will have multiple orders of magnitude higher risk of adverse effects. But they do exist.

Do not worry if you die because of COVID-19 when unvaccinated. That’s life, it’s unavoidable - stupid people will die more likely. For others, there are options.
