Being accused of a precrime is one thing to be concerned about. It's happened to quite a few people. People who planned an event similar to "Improv Everywhere" in London were captured and detained before they could do somethi

Looks like there was one after all. I don't know why more people don't host there, it's not like you can't host Linux.

That's not likely. https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/113/s744 It only has a 43% chance of passing. It's been up to the house for a year now, it's probably going to be shelved until after 2

Hopefully they will allow you to ship a browser that contains a JIT. Apple doesn't currently allow that, so most browsers perform pretty much the same on iOS.

Sure, but for sugar you need to measure refraction not absorption.

by nobodysfool 12y ago
Not to mention that it supposedly can tell you how many grams of sugar are in something, or what "percentage of water" is in an apple? No, there's no way you could do that with spectroscopy. Say you have an apricot, you measu

Most likely a scam. The Healbe GoBe, and the TellSpec supposedly operated on the same principles. You can't do Raman spectroscopy in a lit room with a low wattage laser. If they did have the technology, then they could easily get a con

When you are going fast, it is confusing when the squares move and then pop back into place. I think if just the numbers moved it would look a lot nicer.

If you're rich enough to spend $2500 on speeding ticket insurance, putting away $50,000 for an insurance deposit isn't a big deal, so no, that $50,000 deposit costs the same as it did.

I haven't watched the show, but wasn't BWT a lossless compression with a smaller file size than anything else on the market? Or are they talking about comparing lossless to lossy?

Yea, I wouldn't call "Scott C. Waring, who maintains the website UFO Sightings Daily" a reliable source. Just look at that site. I'll give you some of the headlines... Giant UFO Near Earth In Photo Released by Brazil Pla

you use 'federate' as if it's a killer feature, but how many products out in the marketplace that you use actually do that?

by nobodysfool 13y ago
Are they not doing that already?

Check out co-meeting, kune, Novell Vibe, and Rizzoma. There are lots of alternatives that are very useful.

by nobodysfool 13y ago
You should take a look at Rizzoma. It's faster and more stable than Google Wave was, and it is actively developed.

You are entitled to your opinions, but you have no say in when people are legally able to protest, regardless of how much you disagree with their right to do so. They can protest any time they want.

I did that with my father's computer store website back in 1998. We had computer descriptions, a price, and a 'buy online' button. The button just had a hit counter on the page, with directions to the store. Every hit meant s
